The knowledge of being autistic and engaging with the autistic community has restored my faith in my intuition. This poem describes the dialogue I wish to have with those who advise me against my intuition.

What is the point of communicating if people are going to ignore your message but focus on your "tone," or tell you they know how you feel better than you do, or that your feelings are a problem? Why speak if they are only going to complain that you echo and script?

Miscommunication and misinterpretation of autistic people happens very early in life.

“Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”

Or in modern language, “Treat other people as you would like to be treated.”
